The name

Haus is German for house, a nod to the great fashion houses. Hue is colour: the one considered note a tie brings to a suit.

Pronounced HOWSS and HYOO.

A note from our founder

A tie is the first thing I reach for before a big day. After a decade in real estate and fifty odd ties that cost too much and felt like too little, most of them $120 to $250 silk, I went looking for better. So I set out to make the tie I actually wanted. Woven jacquard silk. A pure merino interlining. A gold stitch to finish, our initial on the work.
